REPORT ON ORDINANCE NO.16 OF 1897.

I have examined the accompanying Ordinance, 'An Ordinance to authorise the Appropriation of a Supplementary Sum of three hundred and forty-one thousand and twenty-five dollars and thirty-seven cents to defray the Charges of the year 1896.'

and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the Governor's Instructions.
